crazy rural life

Just to let you know I'm still alive. I'm busy studying for my exam for "consultant anesthesiologist" in February- although neither my job (still one week of hard work) nor my family (granny's birthday today with extended party-ing) seem to acknowledge this fact.
Little Sanzo has catched a cold and mum told me she was lying in bed contemplating global climate change. Last week senior W. said I wasn't allowed to wear long underwear when working on our cold ICU/IMC. I told her if she could make the section work without me, she could go on with her orders- I'm not into risking my health for a pointless pseudo- hygienic action. Went swimming with junior fellow SFl- we both want to do more sports this year. There's much work ahaead of us.
Asked granny what she wanted for her birthday- and she said "I want to throw out the old rags and exchange them for new ones." Of course, I know, she spoke of carpets, but I couldn't resist buying funny new cloths for cleaning. Hope she can laugh about it.
Concerning the important parts of RL, SFl and me invited for an "anesthesiologist's meeting" in two week's time. I'm very anxious if every thing goes well. 9 people have already said they would come.
It's warm and stromy outside, and I have dreamt of crazy peasants last night.
Info for K.A.Rose: research data will follow.
So far my incoherent update. Take care of yourselves& have a nice week!

Randomness

Despite the clear weather, I feel like crawling into my bed again. Maybe I should, have to go to work in the afternoon.
And, as promised, a question for the "discussing canon"- project. This one came up when I talked with Ditch about prompts and nutcases. In vol. 4, Sanzo says "Of the three things I hate most in this world, you've already managed two." The German version refers to perverts and insects in this panel. What do you think, what are the three things Sanzo hates most?
See you soon!

Saiyuki Reload Vol.2 p 31

Hello! I hope you all have arrived safely in the New Year, and all hang-overs are sufficiently fought.
I have to apologize for my lack of coherent commenst and posts during the last two weeks, my job was very demanding, and the private part of RL took the rest of my sanity.
For anyone interested in my holidays, some ramblings under the cut:

My christmas eve at work was all I could wish for. R. had brought his new bagpipe, a saxophone and a clarinet so we could make music. (Playing the bagpipe in closed buildings is not recommended, though.) There was nice food, some booze and not much trouble with patients. We ended up together in the living room, more or less under the influence of alcohol. Any attempts to start philosophical discussions were cut short by tiredness, we both fell asleep unaware of our surroundings. In the middle of the night I woke up wondering why my heart beat so fast. It took a while before I understood. Zan, you were right on this matter. ;-)
The next nights at work were hell- more or less successful disaster management. In the end, both patients and me survived.
During the short days, I visited old and new friends and my mum& sis. Mum was showing seriously fannish behaviour about her present- a god-child sheep. I received few, but useful and mostly kind presents. (Will deal with granny and PE later.) Caused no trouble with my choice of presents.
Spent New Year's eve with sensei, his family and neighbours. Met new nice people there, but didn't have much time to get acquainted properly- job was calling.
Yesterday morning I used to get a grip on myself after the hard days- sleeping in is fun! (The three wishes of an doc in charge of ICU: sleeping at home, sleeping in, and having this day off- granted maybe three times a month.)
Had to go to work in the afternoon and was greeted by TLi hugging me affectionately. Thus my biggest X-mas wish came true and all the trouble the night shift brought was faced with an unwavering smile.
Now I have to return to studying, and tomorrow 24h shift...

For the new year, I'll try to work harder on my ff-projects and would like to continue my "discussing cannon"- posts. Besides learning for the exams in February, attending Japanese classes and March and doing more for my body (Eek- sports!)
Hope I didn't bore you too much. Wish you a nice weekend, and maybe I can meet some of you on msn.

And because I am mean and lazy, holding back my great X-mas adventures, here comes something completely different:

The New Year is almost upon us, and what better way to start 2008 than with a Saiyuki meet & greet! If you're looking for new Saiyuki friends who share your tastes and interests, then please feel free to come and check out:

THE SAIYUKI FRIENDING MEME!

Anyone and everyone is welcome to put up a comment with a bit of information about themselves.
prove that the blood is strong

Returned home from work in the morning, more than a bit mushy in the head. One of my colleagues is pregnant and seems to refuse working in this situation. Ch! At least some hours would have been nice. Who's gonna do the work now? Boss said we have to cope alone, he's not interested in our issues. Sucker!
Went to sensei's home to bring them some home- made cookies. He invited me to a game of table- soccer, and I succeeded in annoying his wife and baby. What else am I good in? Hope they forget until New year's eve, I'm invited for dinner.
Woke up with a headache from my nap, tried to make a date with the FBB for our annual pre-X-mas-hot-chocolate-angstfest. He's very busy and not sure if we can meet the next days. This would be the first time in ten years I start the holidays without his cuddling.
Today is winter solstice, and the next nights might be filled with prophetic dreams. Let's see what's waiting for the little witch.
Failed in burning some CD's for R. and decided it was time to have a break with "Nabbie no koi", a very funny and heart- warming film from the nansei-shoto. Recommended!
Despite the migraine, I still have to do some things today. Need a plan!
Please excuse my confuse ramblings. I wish all of you merry holidays filled with peace, love and joy- and if this doesn't work, we can meet here and sing "Stop the Cavalry".

advent sunday

Today I woke with a hell of a headache and the urge to throw something heavy at my coworker. The fog in my mind cleared, I was able to complete my work and "hand over" duty. At home I went to bed again and slept 'til noon. The pain was even worse, well, cursing didn't help, so I opted for ignoring it- and it worked.
The day before was strenous, besides being responsible for the ICU, I tried to take care of the guy in charge of the IMC. He's rather nice and cute, a guy to take home with, but he was incredibly tired and feeling miserable, because his baby is sick in hospital- and he's worried. His whole being was constantly screaming "make me feel better", and I gave my best. Not enough, obviously, we ended up badly miscommunicating in a safe distance. I felt insufficient, as usual, and was tempted to scream a bit- at a wall or something like this.
Hope he found something or someone else able to make him feel better.
Spent this afternoon with wrapping presents and sewing cushions for Marie's doll's pram. Feel a bit more complete now.
Hope you all had a nice weekend and not too much stress, I will do my best to offer some ff again soon. Some of you should expect season's greetings in your mail next week.

Please excuse my absence, I'm rather busy and confused at the moment.
The party with my coworkers was cramped and stupid, senior L. proved his bad taste in choosing entertainers again.
The weekend with the girls was great fun, we made 8 kinds of christmas cookies, helped Sanzo with her homework, bought presents, and went to the movies (Golden Compass). Subsequently, we had a bad conblues.
Took me some time to clean up and do the laundry. In the meantime, some of the guys at work broke down- hmmm. And this guy from disaster management gave me some additional work before next year.
Have to wrap the presents and send them soon, sensei is strange and I'm tired. Want some time to write the next chapter of spring and the first of winter. Wait, there's still the exam to study for.
Need more brain, obviously.
Hope you all are well. And, s0hmam0miji, can you send me your real adress, there's a package waiting, too?

And time again

Today I went to the next bigger town for shopping. Of course Plauen has a Globus- superstore, too, but it's rather cramped and untidy, so I opted for the better version 30km away. "Here the world is still in order" is the slogan of the market, and you can imagine why I like shopping there- once a year when I prepare sisterhood- weekends. Another year is almost over, and next weekend the girls are coming for baking christmas cookies and other insane stuff, like watching anime, doing homework and sewing curtains- or so.
Have to prepare the beef rolls and meat balls today, and fix the beds.
Tomorrow I'm off to Leipzig for buying presents and taking Sanzo with me on my way back. In the evening, we'll attend a party with my coworkers (Fear! Who?)
So, lots of things to do, no time to sleep- anyhow, my crazy coworker insists that 3hours a night is enough- argh!
I hope you all have a good time, not too much stress and lots of happy moments.
See you soon!

Could it be I like you?

Last time I ranted about the newly growing distance between me and other people. One year ago, I would have accepted my fate and retired to my own blue world. Times have changed- last night on ambulance car duty I had time to think and decided to cross this distance. Try to see me and others with eyes unclouded and reach out to touch without shame. And not hurting beloved ones just to make sure they stay out of reach (I hate self- fulfilling prophecies.)
And strange events took place today. PE called after a long time of silence for the annual advent talk. He always calls when at work, because his wife doesn't like me. Today I was brave enough to ask why. And he offered rather enlightening insights about my less pleasant sides. Sometimes it's better to know. Maybe next time I can do better.
Thereafter, I called my crazy new coworker at home- when have I done such a thing the last time? Ten years ago? Fortunately, he was glad to hear from me and we spent 1 1/2 hours talking and singing. This is probably the weirdest thing I've ever done. He played the guitar and we both sang- on the phone. Argh!!! He's a nice& cute guy, as old as me and almost as jaded. He loves music, sports and medieval reenactment- lots of things to talk about. Don't want to think about meaningful things, but I would really like to spend some more time with him. Am I prepared for friendship after so many years of building walls?
Oh, wow, I think I sound pathetic now. Tomorrow second classes with the paramedics, and meeting my MM coworker in the evening. I want to give my best and behave nicely. Would be a shame to destroy this companionship just by annoying his wife, don't you think?
Hope you all are okay, please don't stress yourself so much before christmas. And excuse my confused ramblings. Should go to bed now.

Inbetween

Dead's Sunday (the one before Advent) is over, and the townspeople brought out all their shiny and glowing things to decorate windows and offices, and the Advent markets are open now. In the dark and cold months of the year, people try to find warmth and comfort in the artificial light. Have to find& install my star for the window near the computer, maybe I can find comfort, too.
Job is stupid, after three night shifts last weekend I had to take the responsibility for all the shit my day- shift had done. I could punch senior S. for being such a whiny idiot putting the blame on me. (And even the argument "You could have corrected it." doesn't work- I don't tend to control my seniors, I have to rely on their decisions. But maybe it's time to start stepping on my seniors' toes constantly. *evil grin*)
My other coworkers are no help at all. Although being perfectly empathic with me in this case, I'm under the impression I've done something completely stupid to them- besides calling them "idiots" sometimes, they are used to it by now. I don't want to fall in this pit again, the last months have been so nice being friends with the guys. And now I feel like a glass pane is between me and other people. S**t!
Sensei got a job offer for a leading senior consultant in another hospital. We both don't know if it is a good idea to take it. Hm.
So, two long shifts left this week, and helping with classes for paramedics at the weekend. Try to go to IKEA on Thursday, buy first X-mas presents. Sunday meeting with my MM-coworker, he wants to talk to me, hope his family does approve.
You see, I can't say "no"- very bad for my health!
Hope you all are okay& please excuse my ramblings!

Fanfiction!

Incredible- I have one day off! And I'm using it to fight my blocked nose (hmpf!) and polish fannish stuff.
Now, let's give it a try- Tina's first ff on lj. The usual warnings apply: Shameless post- journey- fluff, minor language skills and song references. Huge thanks& hugs to Zan for encouraging and beta- reading.

Four Seasons- Spring „See the Sun“

1.

The warm yellow rays of late afternoon sun fell on a dusty heap of documents in Genjo Sanzo’s room. Said monk sat at his desk, buried in even more paperwork, the result of neglecting the boring task of book- keeping over the last months. He had started to tidy up this mess yesterday and hadn’t even managed one third of it, probably due to his lack of concentration. The temptation to stare into the void with dreamy eyes was just too strong.

Loud footsteps on the wooden floor startled Sanzo from his lazy musings, and he recognized with irritation that he had signed the same document four times and still couldn’t recall the contents. Someone opening the door without knocking kept him from thinking about his absentmindedness, instead he grabbed into his sleeve in search for his harisen, to throw it at the person entering unbidden. His hands found only cigarettes and a lighter. Yeah, there had been no need for the paper fan for a very long time.

Still slightly irritated, he faced the little intruder, a nine year old boy with blond hair and blue eyes.

“Shin, has no one ever told you to knock on office doors?” The years on the road must have taken its toll on Genjo Sanzo to let the novice off so easy. With a satisfied grunt, he acknowledged his favourite pupil’s late bow and formal greeting.

“I’m sorry, Sanzo- sama”, murmured the boy, only to leap to his feet again and run to his master’s side. “The housekeeper sent me. He wants to talk to you about the gala dinner tomorrow.” Shin gave Sanzo no time to respond. “And, Sanzo- sama, I don’t want to sleep in the dormitory with the other novices. They don’t like me.”

Why always me?, Sanzo thought tiredly while his charge confronted him with this unnerving issues. He didn’t feel like facing the overly correct housekeeper, let alone Shin’s silly antics.
The easiest answer was still “Stop whining, idiot!”, but a look in those sad eyes reminded him of another boy at his side, a long time ago. He wasn’t sure if he had simply spoilt his pupil by letting him sleep in his room or if the other children were really mean to their companion.

“Shin, you can’t sleep here when we have guests from Tenjiku. We’ll probably have to work late at night, too. What about rooming with Seibei? He complained last year about having to share a bed with his baby sister.”

This suggestion sufficed to cheer up the kid and Sanzo could return to less important problems, like signing stupid documents or talk with pompous monks about bean dishes.

Somehow Sanzo doubted he could deal with such issues any longer without getting grey hair. Time for a break, he decided. “We go and visit Gojo and Hakkai. I’m hungry!”, he stated and headed for the door, sure his pupil would follow suit.

With a last look at the chaos, Shin left the room, muttering: “Why has Sanzo- sama signed this paper five times?”

2.

When Gojo returned from his errands heavy laden with baskets and full bags, Hakkai was nowhere to be seen. It was almost impossible to believe his kind and tidy friend could exist in a place where dirty plates made up impressive towers in the sink and high mountains of freshly washed laundry rose from every clean surface. Sighing, the redhead put his bags down at the kitchen table and started unpacking.

Attracted by the rummaging, Hakkai joined Gojo in the kitchen. Busy with filling the cupboards, the hanyou threw just a short look at his roommate, determined to finish his task quickly. However, he was distracted by Hakkai’s appearance. Rolled up sleeves and wet hands were nothing new, but- “You have lather on your nose, Hakkai!”, he couldn’t resist saying.

Slightly embarassed, the youkai started to wipe away the soap and ended up with white specks all over his face. “Ah, sorry. I was cleaning the bathroom. Must have been preoccupied somehow.”

Shaking his head with barely hidden amusement, Gojo picked up a towel and handed it over to Hakkai who used it effectively to get rid of the soap on his face and hands. They had still so much to do and no time for distractions, like getting childish ideas about foam, so he refrained from cleaning his friend himself.

Hakkai took the opportunity for a short break, removing some flower bouquets from a chair to have a seat. From his pocket, he retrieved a crumbled checklist and started to tick the items off.

“Cakes, done. Living room, clean. Bedsheets, changed.” He murmured to himself. “Ah, Gojo. Have you picked up the childrens’ clothes from Mae Lin?” He asked a bit louder.

“Sure,” answered the hanyou, gesturing to a yellow bundle on the table. “ Two complete sets. Mae Lin said they should fit. And they are clean, so you don’t have to wash them before use.”

“How considerate,” commented Hakkai with a suspiciously warm smile on his face. Probably thinking about the kids, Gojo mused.

All the things on the checklist done and the groceries stowed away, the kitchen still looked like a battle field. The sinking sun told the two men to hurry up.

A couple of hours later, most of the work was done, and they started to consider having dinner- at last. “What would you like to eat today?” The way the gifted cook asked this question it sounded like a threat. Perfectly understandable, that Hakkai didn’t feel like cooking after the strenous day.

Gojo just had to point at a basket standing at the table, though, filled with lidded pots. “You don’t have to prepare a meal today. I met Gale earlier this day and she insisted on giving me half of her stuff. She said we would probably be too busy today to think of eating properly.”

Relieved, Hakkai couldn’t suppress a chuckle. “Seems like this girl knows us too well.” After all this years, the whole neighbourhood took part in their teachers’ preparations for the summer guests. The time the townspeople had viewed Sanzo’s companions with awe and suspicion was almost forgotten. Hakkai had started working as a teacher soon after their return, and Gojo’s skills in gambling, fighting and handling children had led to a job as a teacher as well. Now both of them were well respected and popular members of society and the journey west just a dark memory everyone tried to ignore.

A knock on the door kept Gojo from setting the table. “Someone must have smelled the food,” he guessed, not at all surprised to find two monks on the porch.

“Hello, Sanzo! You’re here for dinner?” he greeted his companion who nodded curtly in response. And Gojo couldn’t resist teasing both guests a bit: “ Hey, Shin, you’re still hanging around with this ill- tempered priest? You’ve already the same wrinkles between your eyes!”

The same annoyed expression on two faces, accompagnied by “Idiot kappa!” and “No, Sha- sensei!” was incredibly funny to watch, although it took a while before Sanzo and Shin could join the laughter.

In the meantime, Hakkai had laid the table for four and warmed up the dishes. He and Sanzo were still not eating much, so it was enough food for all.

However, the monks left soon after dinner, it was already dark and Sanzo thought of the documents in his office. His pupil was very tired, so he took the boy’s hand to lead him back to the temple.

What a lovely picture, Hakkai thought watching them both leaving. His roommate wasn’t tired yet, so he offered to bring the empty pots back to their owner and get some fresh air.

Left alone, Hakkai wandered through the silent house to check if everything was ready for the guests. The bathroom was clean, the shelves full of towels and toiletries. New sheets for the beds, the kitchen well equipped with food for a certain insatiable monkey and the always hungry kids, also known as the “nine- headed- dragon”. All dangerous things locked away, although the twins were careful enough at the age of six. Last year both of them had refused to sleep in their cots in the bedroom, maybe it was time to carry out Gojos idea of turning the attic into a childrens’ room.

Dreaming of the oncoming season full of work and joy, Hakkai picked up the bundle with little clothes and sat down on the porch to sort and fold them properly. He didn’ t get far, though. When Gojo returned from his walk, he found his friend sitting there surrounded by shirts and pants and sound asleep.

“Time to go to bed, tomorrow ‘ll be an exciting day!” he whispered in Hakkais ear, waking him from his slumber on hard wood. Gojo offered a hand to pull up his partner, already stiff from the awkward sitting position and gathered their stuff with the other. Together in tired and quiet happiness, both men dissapeared in the house.

Comments always welcome, please don't flame, my kitchen doesn't like smoke.

Sometimes you have to travel 12,000 km to find something again you've lost long ago.
Dear Zan, I have to thank you very much for giving me a HOME for a week, you have been far more kind than you can probably imagine.
So, I was in Singapore. I didn't take much photos, so I can't prove, maybe Zan posts the Saiyuki- photo one day. ;-)
I saw a lots of impressing things, tried exotic food and met lots of nice people, including Zan's lovely family. And I bought a multi-regional DVD-player, so I can watch Reload now. We talked about ff, there will probably be some stories posted soon. (This is a warning!)
It was an unexpected good trip, not about tourism and sighteeing, just about feeling well- warm weather, full stomach, good company. I already miss it very much.
Take care& hope you had a good week!

Let's call it convention

Just 16 hours left before I start my trip to Singapore. I'm going to stay with i_am_zan and her family, with a bit of luck, we will meet attiqah_gensui and lybra87! I should be excited, anxious hits the point better, though. I have never travelled so far& alone, and my version of monthly bad day is due (Ouch!)
Ookay, have to wrap the presents, pack my bag, sleep a bit- and leave Plauen by car at 2am in the morning. The inland flight from Leipzig departs at 6.05, the intercontinental flight from Frankfurt/Main with Singapore Airlines (Sometimes I think I have money to spend.) departs at 12.35 (CEST). I arrive at Changi on Monday 6.30am (LT).
Expect my return Saturday night, although I won't be able to check my lj before Sunday.
If I don't return, I've probably gone to Myanmar, patching up baldy monks. ;-)
I wish all of you a good week& maybe we all can meet someday!

noon demon

I just took a nap after working overnight, and I dreamt of taking a nap with one of the junior surgeons. It gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling. Not strong enough to let me flirt with him (Whut? Tina flirting?), but enough to convince me to apologize for my behaviour earlier this day. I scolded him for being late, and it was strict enough that even 1st senior surgeon J. and sensei stood to attention. Tina in teacher- mode is scary. However, it is clear now that my poor junior deserves an explanation. He's a good guy after all, suffering from a bad ex-girlfriend.
You see, I'm a girl after all. Wish you warm and fuzzy feelings, too!

So, I'm back at home. Classes were "disastrous", I have lost my faith in German disaster management. Bunch of idiots, couldn't refrain from molesting the female docs. How "mature".
Spent the weekend at work, have a day off today.
Am heading off to the next workshop on Thursday, hope it will be better.
The rest of the gang is peaceful, or just quiet.
Hope you all are well and have a good time!

Peas and Mendel's law

I found a question in the Saiyuki- community about half- breed and genetics. I had planned to add this as an comment but it still didn't work. So I post it here in my lj- maybe you find it interesting.
1. Nothing to add to Nii's comment in Vol 5. (Hanyou being sterile)
2. If this doesn't apply, and half- breeds could have kids, we had to ask science- and bump into a wall. The red hair and eyes are not inherited by the parents, they are a symbol of a forbidden mixture, something beyond genetics. So I would presume, kids of two half breeds would still be hanyou, with red eyes and hair, as well as other mixtures, the original "taboo- breaking" always visible.
3. If normal science applied, the kids of two hanyou would be: one human, one youkai, two hanyou. (Mendel's law), the kids of one human and one hanyou would be: two humans and two hanyou, and vice versa if one parent is youkai (two youkai, two hanyou)
4. If you ask me (without the pondering)- the whole issue is somehow beyond reason, if Goyo had a kid, it would probably have hair the colour of carrots and eyes like ice- and white eyelashes. ;-)

A summer holiday

Tomorrow I'm going to Munich, visit a friend from Japanese classes, annoy relatives and go shopping. Unfortunately, my punk cousin is away on a trip to Magdeburg, so I'm left with the typically middle-class.
I'm planning to return on Tuesday afternoon, to leave again on Wednesday for Gnandstein, visiting the pastor's family.
On Saturday next week, I have to protect Saxony's biggest fair (like public festival), I can only hope the food is okay. And Xusi called, she wants to take refuge in Plauen due to her nagging parents.
All in all, busy holidays, lots of things to do- like buying sausages- my Munich relatives love Saxon sausages!
I try to keep informed via lj, wish all of you a nice weekend and week!

Card update

The notebook with cards for Minekura-sensei is on its way to Zan for further "filling", packed in plastic and paper, sent via air-mail.
Yesterday I was in Leipzig, receiving the documents for my doctoral thesis (Yes, now I can prove it- in Latin!) and raiding the stationery shops with little Sanzo for school stuff. Shocked a pharmacist with the request for liquid XTC (We need it sometimes on ICU, and our pharmacist refuses to order it.)
Still lots of things to do& two night shifts waiting. Sigh!
Wish all of you a nice weekend, see you soon!

Card project update

Today I started filling the notebook Zan sent me. I have made a print-out of a worldmap I'm going to mark with white spots, one for each fan contributing (Maybe Zan can add more white spots for the fans I don't know about.) I think I'm going to send it to Zan at the end of next week.

MINEKURA CARD PROJECT

After two weeks of polishing the details, here are now the "instructions for use".
1. Zan has bought two notebooks A4 (21x29cm) with blank pages. One of these makes the loop Zan (Asia)- amael (North America)- Zan- Ditch Gospel (Japan). The other one takes the route Zan- Tina (Europe)- Zan- Ditch Gospel.
2. Anyone interested to contribute can either send her/his good wishes on paper (slightly smaller than A4, only one side of the paper used) to one of the collecting points, preferably Zan, amael and me because ditch resides at a hostel. You can send artwork, photos, cards or just written wishes (English or Japanese).
3. The collectors put the stuff in the notebook- therefore please just fill one side of the page- so we can stick it in!
4. If you can't send something substantial, you can express your feelings via email- I will make a print- out and add it to the book. To keep it going smoothly, emails ONLY to me (gilliotina)
5. The two books are collected by Zan and Ditch, and Ditch is going to deliver them directly to the editor.
6. To speak of time limits: Please finish your work next week and send it at least Saturday next week, August 11, preferably via airmail/par avion. In case of little mishaps, contact us via email, so we can find an alternative route for your letter.
7. My address: Tina Kreissler, Bertold- Brecht- Strasse 9, D- 08529 Plauen, GERMANY. The addresses of the other collecting points only per email.
8. Please excuse, but I have to add it: Saiyuki-fans are usually grown up in one or the other way, so we refuse any censoring. However, would you keep in mind that this is no birthday card, it's meant to comfort in hard times? Thanks!
And now for something funny: Today I received a postcard by "yours, SANZO". Now I'm a smiling "ane"

crazy card project

I was surprised how many people are interested in our idea of sending an actual card to Minekura- sensei.
And as I have feared, 17 are too much for one chain in a decent time span.
So I'm working on several chains meeting at the end, like a star. However, this requires three "first" links- and therefore- three cards, and Ditch collecting three letters. I hope it still works.
My backwater town is short on tasteful stationary products, so I decided to order two large copies (20x30cm) of my favourite photos to use as cards- some of you already know the Greek monastery. ;-)
As soon as I know the mailing addresses, I'm starting to work on the routes the cards should take. With a bit of luck (and my job not killing me), the "launch" is planned for Tuesday next week.
On a sidenote, my clothes line just took wings and left the balcony, to land in the garden, laundry included. And I feel good for the absence of pain after one week of constant headache.

Drove to Chemnitz again to help Xusi and Isa with cleaning up. We had lots of fun and I believe never was an apartment cleaner after moving out.
Continued with such traditional tasks at home. Turned two kg of sensei's apples into apple sauce and juice and prepared french beans from mums garden for deep freezing. Now my poor fridge has to cool down from 16°C again, otherwise the food wouldn't stay fresh. Unfortunately, I don't have the equipment for pasteurizing food, so I could send you some samples.
Feel somehow accomplished, going to read some ff.
Wish you a nice week!
